Hello beautiful human,
May 2025 has taught me…nothing gets written while the gardens go in.

Our spring in Wisconsin is such a short season. There’s a lot of frenetic—perhaps frantic—activity in the yards and garden plots of the midwest right now as we try to find the sweet spot between last frost and first mosquito.
Some of the things growing in my yard I planted a few years ago and now have the joy of seeing them return.
Some I just plunked in the ground this spring.
Some planted themselves and I’m curious to see what emerges. My phone app suggests I have milkweed (a longtime goal—I hope it blooms this year), some wild salvia, and motherwort all coming in healthy and randomly seeded.
Half-planned, half-wild, all dreamed of. Growing a little loose around the edges with small living things unseen scurrying about and important to the whole project.
It all feels very similar to my writing, my creative ideas and projects and, I guess (if I’m being honest), my life.
Something wants to pivot in this Space. I know I’m passionate about holding An Inviting Space for anyone and everyone who needs a quiet corner to breathe, ground and collect themselves for a moment or two.
And within this Space, something new wants to grow. I’m listening for it.
While I do that quiet work of listening, dreaming and peering closely at the ground, I’m suspending payments. With gratitude for all of you who have helped me hold this Space with your support. I’ll be reshaping the Space at least a little bit and it feels right to pause all payments, to hang suspended, while that unfolds and reveals itself in real time.
I plan to continue writing here while all this takes place. Some of you know: unlike butterflies or moths, dragonflies transform without cocoon or chrysalis. Just out there, perched on a stem somewhere, doing the work of emergence for everyone to see.
That’s an encouraging thought.
Now would be a good time to reach out and share with me what you most love about An Inviting Space. What connects for you, what you would be sad to see go away, and (as long as we’re dreaming forward) what you miss or wish you could also find here.
I’m listening.

I believe our world needs new stories. what if those stories lie curled within us like seeds? This is An Inviting Space to experience where and how we might discover, recover and nurture the secret, magical gardens of soul day by day. Starting where we are, as we are.
(Not quite ready to subscribe, but want to show a little gratitude for this post? buy me a coffee.)
A Celebration Corner for sharing the Good Goodies
Today, the good goodies are simply the practice of being present.
Expanding into the moment. Letting the spaciousness within our rib cages grow… just… that… little… bit… wider.
Your support is welcome, and your attention and time are true gifts. Thank you.
