I keep my markers/brush pens in big hand-made cups one of my kids made a long time back. Separated into cool colors, warm colors, shades of gray, whites & metallics. Another cup for paint pens. I love looking at these in the morning and picking out a color to journal with. Some of them are too light to read the writing & I tend to avoid those. And they're water soluble. A coffee slosh, raindrops, a wet rim set on top of the page, and the words blur. I like that too.
I love the blurs, splotches and accidental marks. All of it. I don't often use these for the writing but when I'm mindmapping or highlighting...I go to these first. Also, they put me in "kid brain." <3
It was a gorgeous day for a drive. Listened to my yoga/new age music all the way there, then the kid said, "How about not" and switched it up for the way back. :-)
