your writing today, Sarah, reminds me of this piece of a Mary Oliver poem "When Death Comes"--

When it's over, I want to say: all my life

I was a bride married to amazement.

I was the bridegroom, taking the world into my arms.

I also often think of E. B. White, 'All that I hope to say in books, all that I ever hope to say, is that I love the world.'
